March 1, 2020 (Zalengei) The Sudanese authorities have imposed curfew in Darfur’s Central state, following killing of a man by unknown gunmen on Friday.
Eyewitness told Darfur 24 from Mornei area , 83 km south of the city of El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur, that one of the citizens was killed on Friday evening in the border area of “Rounqatas” between the states of West and Central Darfur after being shot by gunmen.
“After the incident, the families of the victim organized a protest in front of the Morni administrative unit, calling on the authorities to arrest the perpetrators” added the eyewitness.
In the meantime, the governor of Central Darfur, Major-General Suleiman Al-Amin issued a decision, imposing dawn to dark curfew, in Azum’s locality that adjacent to West Darfur State.
