The governor decided at the meeting to head a delegation from the state, that includes some membership of freedom and change and flour and fuel distribution nmechanism to Khartoum to find solutions to the crisis.
He said that given the population density of South Darfur state, it must find justice in distributing the flour, adding, “It makes no sense for Khartoum, with a population of 10 million people, to get 50 thousand sacks of flour a day, while the quota of South Darfur, with a population of 5 million, does not exceed 5 thousand sacks”.
The governor instructed the mechanism to intensify its efforts and focus the distribution of flour on bakeries adjacent to schools. However, South Darfur is facing shortage of flour nowadays.
