February 11, 2020 (Khartoum) Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamduk, has met at the sidelines of Munich Security Conference, with Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Labrov.
The Russian Foreign, affirmed his government’s appreciation of the calm situations in the Darfur region, describing the progress made in the peace process that currently taking place in Juba, as an important and positive step. Labrov, pointed out to the convening of the joint ministerial committee between Khartoum and Moscow next March, praising at the same time the deliberations of the political consultation committee that was recently held in Sudan.
For his part, Prime minister, Abdallah Hamdock informed Russian Foreign Minister of the developments in Sudan and the priorities that the transitional government is working to achieve in the coming period.
Abdallah Hamdouk also conveyed to Labrov gratitude of the Sudanese transitional government to its Russian counterpart, for its keenness to develop relations between the two countries.
The prime minister’s meeting with Laprov discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the importance of strengthening them, as well as the situation in the region.
Hamdouk is participating in the 56th session of Munich Security conference, which is hosted by the German city of Munich from 14 to 16 February, with the participation of a number of heads of state and heads of government, to discuss threats to world peace.
