January 29, 2020 (El-fasher) – Dealers of unregistered cars in Malha, North Darfur, have rejected the decisions issued by the government of North Darfur to close the land border with Libya.
Meanwhile, some traders in Malha have called on the federal government, to provide banking services to the residents of the area, to enable merchants transfer and receive money through authorized channels.
In a related development, one of the car dealers in the town of Malha ,called Mohamed Moneim, said in a telephonic conversation with Darfur 24, that merchants and majority of the local residents, reject the decision issued by the authorities regarding the closure of border and confiscation of unregistered vehicles.
In a statement extended to Darfur24, a group called, association of Malha residents for change, rejected the border closing decision, calling upon the authority to establish custom office as well as banks in the border town of Malha.
