South Darfur security forces on Sunday seized amounts of smuggled goods at Dalal Anqara checkpoint 35km west of Nyala , South Darfur. .
In a press statement, the director of State security police, Colonel Hashim Saleh, explained that the security forces were able to seize 28 barrels of fuel, 100 sacks of flour as well as 100 bags of sugar.
He stated that the seizure came within the framework of the monitoring process ,carried out by the security services to observe the movement of consumer goods, in light of the economic conditions that the country is currently going through.
“The security forces are focusing their control these days on commercial vehicles to prevent smuggling and preserve the country’s economic resources” concluded Hashim Saleh.
