The South Sudan mediation team, has given the government’s negotiating delegation an opportunity to respond to Darfur track proposal ,regarding the participation of the sons and daughters of Darfur in the transitional government structures.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, January 15 after the negotiation session on Darfur track, the member of South Sudan mediation team, Diyo Matouk said the government delegation has requested a time to study the file and respond to it within 72 hours.
He pointed out that the negotiating parties made great efforts in discussing power-sharing structures.
In a related development, the negotiating sessions on the framework agreement pertaining to the two area’s track(Blue Nile and South Kordofan) between government delegation headed by Maj. Gen. Shamsuddin Kabashi and SPLM-N- Aqar, continued in Juba today.
It is worth noting that Diyo Matouk, announced Monday, January 13 that the next two weeks will be critical in the track of the negotiation process between the negotiating Sudanese parties.
