Today, Sunday, the President of the National Council for Higher Education and
Scientific Research, Minister of Higher Education, issued a decree to accept
students of the technical course in engineering colleges in Sudanese universities
for this year as an exception, and it will be effective from the date of signing.
The decree is based on the provisions and articles of the Law on Regulating Higher
Education and Scientific Research for the year 1990, and the recommendation of
the Director of the General Administration of Admission as well as the evaluation
and documentation of certificates.
The Minister complained, earlier, of the poor quality of education that attributed
to the large expansion in the number of Sudanese universities during the past
thirty years, and described what happened to education as systematic destruction
by the bad policy of the ousted regime.
