Nyala, October 19 (Darfur24)
The Ministry of Interior of the Sudanese Founding Alliance (TASIS) in Nyala, South Darfur State, has graduated a new batch of Federal Police personnel following advanced training, according to officials and local sources.
Bashir Adam Issa, director of the Federal Police in the TASIS government, said the new personnel would work to strengthen security and stability, protect citizens’ property and public facilities, and combat crime.
A commander in the Federal Police training department said the graduates had received specialised training in several fields, including commando operations and military policing, to prepare them for their assigned duties.
The number of graduates was not officially announced. However, sources told Darfur24 that more than 250 personnel had completed the training.
The graduation follows previous training programmes for junior officers in Nyala.
The Federal Police had also previously graduated a batch of female officers in Ad Al-Fursan locality, southwest of Nyala.
