At least 12 civilians, including two women, were killed in an attack allegedly by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the village of Al-Musallamiya in the Jabal Al-Dair area of North Kordofan State on Sunday, according to local sources.
Sources told Darfur24 that RSF fighters attacked the village on Sunday morning, killing 12 civilians before withdrawing from the area later that night.
The victims were identified as Al-Khair Abdulrahman Sabil, Abdulbaqi Abdulrahman Barima, Khalifa Ali Sabil, Farhan Muhammad Hawli, Muhammad Hawli Issa Abdulrahman, Muhammad Ghazi, Ahmed Al-Zubair, Ezz Al-Din Marsal, Al-Sir Hassan Hammad, Fatima Ali, Najwa Hammad Ahmed, and Fatima Al-Faki Nour Hassan.
The sources did not provide details on the number of people injured or the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Large parts of North Kordofan have witnessed repeated ground assaults and shelling by the RSF in recent weeks, exacerbating an already severe humanitarian crisis across the state.
