Al-Daein, March 20 (Darfur24)
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF), in coordination with local militias, have arrested three suspects linked to the killing of livestock traders in the Abu Jabra area of East Darfur State.
A local administration leader, who requested anonymity, told Darfur24 that the suspects were apprehended by residents and RSF agents while riding a motorcycle and in possession of stolen goods belonging to the victims.
The arrests come days after an armed robbery on Sunday in which three livestock traders were killed, and two others were injured south of Abu Jabra locality as they were returning from a market. The attackers stole money estimated at around 800 million Sudanese pounds.
Meanwhile, the East Darfur State Security Committee and the Native Administration held a meeting on Wednesday to assess the security situation in Abu Jabra locality and offer condolences to the victims’ families.
