El Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State, came under aerial attack early Sunday morning by drones believed to belong to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), targeting vital facilities and causing casualties, local sources told Darfur24.
Sources reported that the assault began at dawn, when drones struck the El-Obeid power station, causing extensive damage and widespread power outages across the city.
In a related incident, an informed source said a drone also targeted El-Obeid International Airport, resulting in the deaths and injuries of several airport security personnel.
The attack comes amid escalating hostilities in South and North Kordofan states, raising fears over continued targeting of civilian and service infrastructure, further worsening the humanitarian and security situation in the region.
