Sennar, October 22 (Darfur24)

Six technical workers at the Sennar Power Plant in central Sudan were injured when suicide drones launched by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeted the city of Sennar and other locations in Blue Nile State.

A military source told Darfur24 that three drones approached from the southern direction of Sennar and struck the Sennar Dam area. Two hit an out-of-service transformer station, while the third fell outside the dam reservoir.

Eyewitnesses reported that another drone targeted the electricity transformer station west of the Roseires Dam in the Blue Nile Valley, causing a total power outage and plunging the city into darkness.

The attack occurred just hours after three drones targeted Khartoum Airport ahead of its planned reopening on Wednesday.

The 4th Infantry Division in Damazin said the situation was under control after air defense units intercepted and destroyed the drones. It confirmed there were no casualties or property damage, adding that the explosions heard were caused by anti-aircraft missiles engaging the drones.
