The Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS), through the office of Prime Minister Mohamed Hassan Osman al-Ta’aishi, issued a decree on Friday appointing Ezz El-Din Mohamed Ahmed Al-Safi as head of the National Authority for Humanitarian Access.

According to the decree, the appointment aims to strengthen Sudan’s capacity to address the escalating humanitarian crisis and improve the coordination of relief operations.

The decision was made in accordance with the Sudanese Constitution of 2025 and Resolution No. (1) on humanitarian access, in response to worsening humanitarian conditions that require an effective mechanism to organize and facilitate aid delivery and ensure coordination between national and international actors.

The resolution gives Al-Safi full ministerial powers to exercise all powers and responsibilities associated with the position, to ensure the delivery of aid to all those in need across the country without discrimination.

The decree further instructs all ministries, government agencies, and relevant bodies to fully cooperate with the authority to perform its duties efficiently and effectively.
