The Rapid Support Forces(RSF) announced on Thursday that they had taken control of three locations in the states of White Nile, North Darfur, and South Kordofan, after battles with the Sudanese army and its allies.

RSF confirmed in a statement that they had taken control of the city of Umm Kadada on Thursday, home to the headquarters of the 24th Brigade of the 6th Division of North Darfur State.

Sources told Darfur 24 that RSF launched an attack from two axes on the city of Umm Kadada in North Darfur State on Thursday morning, where fighting raged with a militia called the “Shogara Forces,” allied with the Sudanese army.

RSF fighters posted videos on social media showing their Capture of the headquarters of the Umm Kadada local government, the main hospital, and the army command. However, fighters from Umm Kadada later posted videos of themselves struggling to repel the RSF attack and expel them from the areas where they had appeared.

Meanwhile, other sources told Darfur 24 that fighting around the Umm Kadada area was still ongoing at the time of writing this news, noting that Shogara’s forces attacked the RSF from the rear, resulting in casualties among RSF fighters.

In the same context, sources within RSF told Darfur 24 that the forces had taken control of the Al-Halba area, 50 km west of Al-Duwaim city in White Nile State, two days after the army took control of it.

The sources reported that the fighting left dozens dead on both sides.

In South Kordofan, RSF repelled a Sudanese army attack on the Umm Adara area after fierce fighting, according to field sources.

RSF posted videos of the Umm Adara battles, showing the destruction of several Sudanese army combat vehicles and the seizure of military equipment, including drones.
