Lagawa, March 23(Darfur 24)
Military sources said on Sunday that Rapid Support Forces (RSF) took control of Lagawa, West Kordofan State, after army forces withdrew from the city.
The sources told Darfur 24 that the armed forces withdrew in the early hours of Sunday morning from the Lagawa area, which is approximately 120 kilometers from Al-Fula, the capital of West Kordofan State.
They indicated that the RSF took control of the city and established military bases in some locations.
Lagawa is located near areas controlled by the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), which signed the transitional constitution with other forces, including the RSF, in preparation for the formation of a parallel government.
